Weekly Wednesday Archive 5

Hello there,

Sharing another archive card today.  This little accordian card is circa 2009.

Mini pockets and tags inside.

I used various punches and heidi grace scrapbooking paper and other bits and pieces from the stash.  I like the concept of this little card and really should make some more of them.

Thanks for stopping by,

Special Easel Christmas Card for Someone Special

Hi,

Here is a pretty christmas card made for someone special aka 'my daughter'.  I also made a box to hold the card as the envelope I originally made couldn't manage the thickness of the card.  The card was made to go along with a gift card so it was a nice way to present it all as a little boxed gift.  The card and box took 2 nights to make which was pretty good I thought.  I used the Stampin Up Scoring Board to make the box once I figured out the dimensions.  The Scoring board is really great for making boxes.

The cute little girl is a Magnolia stamp and I coloured her with Copic markers.
She has clear glitz on her bonnet, which looks lovely and sparkly.

 It is an Easel Card.

The lid of the box is stamped with Stampin Up stamp set 'Snowflake Soiree' in various
shades of pink and silver ink pads.
I wrapped the same ribbon I used on the front of the card around the box and added
a matching tag.  But I forgot to take a photo of it!

I had a lot of fun making up this project.  I have several Magnolia stamps which I have hardly used.  mainly because they need colouring and I am always short of time.  But I am finding the more I use my Copics it is becoming easier, enjoyable and not so daunting.
Thanks for looking.

Weekly Wednesday Archive 4

Hi there,

As it is Christmas Eve I thought I would choose a Christmas card from the archives.  I designed this in 2012 for a Stampin Up event as a swap.  I had made many extra pieces to assemble for cards to give away but didn't finish them.  So fast forward to 2014 I finally finished off this UFO project.
All products are retired Stampin Up.  The stamp set is named 'No Peeking' and has the tree, penguin and reindeer as shown.  They are all very cute, especially the penguin.

Aussie Christmas Kangaroo card

Hi there,

Here is a cute Christmas card with an Australian flavour that I made for a family that are new Australians.  Thought they would appreciate the kangaroo image for christmas afterall he is kinda cute and so is the sentiment!  It was a really enjoyable project and I managed to put it together very quickly too which was great .

I coloured the kangaroo with copics and paper pieced the presents.  The cardstock and gold shimmer cardstock are stampin up, along with the stamp set which is named 'Happy Christmas Mate' but sadly is retired.  The paper came from my scrap box and I'm not sure what brand it is. I use gold liquid pearls on the hat and boots

This is a cute little stamp set and the first time I have used it, which is a shame.  I think I am going to have to make some more cards for next Christmas with this set.

Weekly Wednesday Archive 3

Hello,

Wednesday's seem to come around very quickly.  Another archive post.  A birthday card made in 2013.
Not a very good photo but then I can't be blamed as I didn't take it LOL.  The stamp set is a 'Flourishes' stamp set called 'Let them eat Cake'.  Don't think it is available anymore.  It is a nice set.  Could be used for Wedding's too.

I made an easel card and the recipient likes purple.  Who doesn't like purple :)

I used Spellbinders Nestabilitie dies. They are designed to fit in together which is great.  Stampin Up Elegant Eggplant cardstock, Bazzill lighter shade of purple, Stampin Up punches, sentiment stamp and inside card paper. Various embellishments from the stash.

Thanks for looking.

Hi,
Sharing another Christmas Card that I have been working on.  This is a stamp from an Aussie supplier named Fern Gully Stamps called 'Aussie Santa'.  (I have had it for quite a few years and it looks brand new, LOL.  Obviously another item in my stash that hasn't been used since its purchase!)  Think he is a pretty apt version of Santa for here in Australia.
I used Copics to colour the image.  Still very new at Copic colouring, but I think it looks ok.  The cardstock and printed paper are Stampin Up and I used the Stampin Up Very Vanilla cardstock for colouring which I found to be as equally good as the specific card used for Copics.  I also used a snow paint marker for Santa's beard and hat which needs to be heat set once dried which makes the paint puff up. Kinda cre8tes a realistic vision of a beard and hat trim.  The clouds are sponged using a specific cloud stencil and seagulls are a separate stamp also from Fern Gully Stamps.

I made this into what is apparently called a 'Joy' fold card, which is something a little different from the usual card style.

Didn't add too much in the way of bling as the card is intended for a male recipient.  I did however spritz with shimmer paint mixed with isocol which gives a lovely sparkle to the image and makes it somewhat festive.

Weekly Wednesday Archive 2

Hi,  Today from the archives I have some cards, c. 2012, made using a template named 'weird and wacky squarish template' from Amazing Creations.  I purchased this and the 'longish' template many years ago and only got around to using it in 2012. LOL. I made several cards using the squarish size and the beauty of the template is it can also be used to make an envelope to match the card.  The stamp set is an old Kaisercraft set named Hey Birdie and the papers I can't remember. It would have been stuff from the stash.

I hand stitched the borders on the cards, a bit OCD!

This card shows how I mucked up the cut outs but
I kinda like how it adds more wonkiness.

I grunged up the edges of the flowers which are simple circles
in different sizes.

Its a fun template to use and gives a different looking card to the usual styles.  I think I need to use the templates more.
Thanks for looking.

Graduation Card

Hello,
Here is a graduation card that i managed to put together in a bit of a hurry for a relative who is graduating on Monday!  I think it turned out okay.  Using once again Stampin Up products.
I took inspiration from Google images under Stampin Up graduation cards.  The owl is a  punch from Stampin Up and the hat is a from a retired Stampin Up stamp set.  I made the silver tassel from some embroidery cotton and the scroll is just some rolled white paper with a small strip of decorative paper glued around the centre.

I think this owl is just a bit tooooooooo cute.

Welcome

Hi there and welcome to my blog.  A place where i will share my papercrafting cre8tions.
Here is a card i made for my daughter's recent birthday.

Mostly made with Stampin Up products.  The ribbon is from my stash.  The flower edge is inspired by cards on the internet under the title of 'cascading flower card' and also by a tutorial by 'Brandy's Cards'
It was a quick and easy card to make.  I have made a few more in different colourways as well.
